Fall Social Tennis Club event at NTC
A date change and the tree colors shifting
The nor’easter had other plans for our original Saturday Club date, so we moved the gathering to October 3. New York gave us the make-up date, the National Tennis Center gave us the courts, and the players took it from there.
For two hours, we used a system we developed to rotate partners and courts equitably, giving everyone a fair mix of matchups. You’d finish a game with three people you hadn’t met, then start the next one with three more. At the end, we handed prizes to the individual winners and took this group photo in Champions Alley, with the Arthur Ashe memorial statue looking on.

That makes two Club weekends for us this year: Sunday in June, Saturday in October. Both sold out quickly. More are on the way, and we might squeeze in one more this year. Subscribe below; we give subscribers first word when tickets open.
